Terms & Conditions
These terms apply when you use this website and when you book a session or buy a print from GS Photography. Please read them before you enquire.
The specific price, deposit, payment terms, cancellation and rescheduling terms, and usage details for each booking are set out in your written quote or booking agreement. If anything in your quote or booking agreement differs from these terms, the quote or booking agreement prevails.

Using this website
You may browse this website for your own personal, non-commercial use. Please don’t misuse it, try to interfere with how it works, or use it for anything unlawful.
We work to keep the information here accurate and up to date, but details such as availability, print editions and services may change without notice.
Copyright in our photos and films
Every photo, film and piece of content on this website is the work of Gurkirat Singh / GS Photography and is protected by copyright under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth).
You may share a link to any page. Without our written permission, you may not:
- copy, download, screenshot for reuse, edit, crop, filter or republish our images or films;
- remove our name or any watermark;
- use our work to train or prompt artificial-intelligence tools.
If you’d like to use an image, just ask.
Enquiries and bookings
- An enquiry is not a booking. Sending the form, a message or a call doesn’t reserve a date.
- Your booking is confirmed only when we confirm it in writing and any deposit or payment stated in your quote has been received.
- Your quote or booking agreement sets out the price, what’s included, the deposit and payment due dates, delivery timeframes, the cancellation and rescheduling terms, and how you may use the photos and films. Please read it carefully before you confirm.
- Prices shown or quoted are in Australian dollars. Quotes are valid for the period stated on them.
On the day
- Information and permits: please give us accurate details about times, locations and any venue rules. You’re responsible for any permits or permissions a venue or location requires, unless we’ve agreed otherwise in writing.
- Timing: we’ll arrive on time and work to the agreed schedule. If the event runs over or starts late, extra time is subject to our availability and may be charged at the rate in your quote.
- Safety and conditions: we may pause or adjust a shoot if conditions are unsafe, for example because of severe weather or an unsafe location. Outdoor sessions can be rescheduled for weather by agreement.
- Style: our photography and cinematography follow our own documentary and cinematic style, as shown in our portfolio. We’ll always take your requests and key moments into account, but we can’t guarantee every specific shot, particularly where moments depend on timing, light, venue restrictions or guests.
Editing and delivery
- Selection and editing: we select and edit the best images and footage from your session; the final selection and editing style are at our creative discretion. Unedited (“raw”) files aren’t supplied unless agreed in writing.
- Delivery: delivery timeframes are set out in your quote. We’ll let you know if anything delays delivery.
- Your copies: please download and back up your files when you receive them. We keep an archive copy as a courtesy, but we can’t guarantee long-term storage.
How you can use your photos and films
Copyright in the photos and films we create stays with GS Photography.
Once your booking is paid in full, you receive a personal licence to use the delivered photos and films for your own non-commercial purposes. That means you may:
- print them;
- share them with family and friends;
- post them on your personal social media.
A credit or tag (@gsphotography54) is always appreciated. You may not sell them, use them for advertising or commercial purposes, or enter them in competitions without our written permission. You also may not edit or apply filters to them in a way that misrepresents our work.
Using your photos in our portfolio
We’d love to show our favourite work on this website and on Instagram, but we only do so with your permission. For children, we need a parent’s or guardian’s permission. You can say no, or withdraw your permission at any time, and we’ll remove the photos from our website and social media.
Prints
- Edition and price: our prints are limited-edition paper prints. Prices are on request and confirmed when you enquire.
- Your order: an order is confirmed once we’ve agreed the print, size and price with you in writing and payment has been received.
- Delivery: we ship within Australia. Delivery times and costs are confirmed with your order.
- Colour: colours on screens vary, so the printed colour may look slightly different from what you see on your device.
- Damage in transit: please check your print as soon as it arrives. If it’s damaged in transit, contact us promptly with photos of the damage and the packaging, and we’ll arrange a replacement or refund.
- Change of mind: prints are made to order, so we don’t offer refunds for change of mind. This doesn’t limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our services and products come with guarantees that can’t be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we’re not responsible for losses we couldn’t reasonably have foreseen or prevented. That includes losses caused by events outside our control, such as:
- illness or emergency;
- severe weather;
- venue restrictions;
- equipment theft or failure despite reasonable care.
If we can’t attend or deliver because of something like this, we’ll do our best to arrange a suitable alternative or reschedule. If that isn’t possible, we’ll refund any amount paid for services not provided. Our total liability for a booking is limited to the amount you paid for it, except where the Australian Consumer Law says otherwise.
